Quiet Your Soul

"O Lord, my heart is not lifted up;
my eyes are not raised too high;
I do not occupy myself with things too great and too marvelous for me.
But I have calmed and quieted my soul,
like a weaned child with its mother;
like a weaned child is my soul within me.
O, (Christy), hope in the Lord
from this time and forevermore."  Psalm 131

A child is safe.  Secure.  Sure in the knowledge that his mom is present.  His dad providing for him.  He doesn't worry about his next meal.  He lives in the moment and has no need to occupy himself with worry, or fear, or longings unfulfilled.  He is complete, growing, trusting, laughing.  My Father is saying to me, a child:  Be carefree.  Help when you can.  Love everyone.  Walk with me in freedom all your days.  Forgive.  Learn. Let go.  Be still.  Play hard.  Work harder.  Be light.  Carry the light of My Kingdom as you go.

The love of a child is infecting.
The carefree nature of a child is empowering.
The embrace of a child is uplifting.
The wonder in the eyes of a child is enlightening.

Always be my baby girl.
Calm and quiet your soul.
You are weaned.  You have all you need in Me.
Rest assured; I'm in control.
Keep your heart, your eyes, stayed on Me.
I've got you.
